Let us divide 243 into 3 parts : let it be x,  y  and (243-x-y)
 
Given : begin mathsize 12px style x over 2 space equals space y over 3 space equals space fraction numerator open parentheses 243 minus x minus y close parentheses over denominator 5 end fraction end style
Let us take, begin mathsize 12px style y over 3 equals fraction numerator open parentheses 243 minus x minus y close parentheses over denominator 4 end fraction space space space o r space space a f t e r space s i m p l i f i c a t i o n space space 3 x space plus space 7 y space equals space 729 end style   .....................................(1)
Let us take, begin mathsize 12px style x over 2 equals space fraction numerator open parentheses 243 minus x minus y close parentheses over denominator 4 end fraction space space space o r space a f t e r space s i m p l i f i c a t i o n space space space 6 x plus 2 y space equals space 486 end style   ......................................(2)
By solving (1) and (2),   x = 54 and y = 81  . hence third part = 243-54-81 = 108
 
Hence 243 is divided into three parts : they are 54, 81 and 243
