Difference between a permanent magnet and a temporary magnet.

Permanent magnet: A magnet whose magnetism is not lost over due course of time is called a permanent magnet.
It is naturally magnetic in nature.
Example: Lodestone.
 
Temporary magnet: A magnet whose magnetism is lost when the cause for magnetism is switched off, is called a temporary magnet.
It is an artificially made magnet. The magnetism is induced by electric field (current) or another magnet.
Example: Electromagnet,
