Hi Shriya,

The resistance of a conductor is directly proportional to its length (l) and inversely proportional to its area of cross section (A).

where is Ρ constant of proportionality called specific resistance or resistivity of the material of the conductor.

The S.I. unit of resistivity is ohm metre (m).
