Let x be the actual price of 70 pens
Jairaj loses 20% by selling the pens at Rs 1400
So, 1400 is the 80% of x
rightwards double arrow x equals 1400 over 80 cross times 100 equals 1750 N o w comma space 20 percent sign space o f space x equals 20 over 100 cross times 1750 equals 350 S o comma space t o space m a k e space a space p r o f i t space o f space 20 percent sign comma space s e l l i n g space p r i c e space m u s t space b e space R s. space 2100 P r i c e space o f space e a c h space p e n space m u s t space b e space R s. space 30
