At the instant traffic light turns green, a colour starts with an uniform accleration of 2 m/s^, at the same instant a truck, travelling with a speed of 10 m/s overtakes and passes the car. How far beyond the starting point will the car overtake the truck?How fast will the car be travelling at that instant?

for car
s = v x t
for truck
s= ut+ (1/2) at2 u= 0 m/s
at the moment of overtake both will travel same distance
vt=(1/2) at2
v=(1/2) at
10= (1/2)x2xt
t=10 sec
therefore distance covered is s= v xt = 10 x 10 = 100 m
for speed of car
v= at= 2x10= 20 m/s
