A motor draws a current of 2.0 Amps for 20 secs in order to lift a small mass .If the motor does a total of 9.6 Joules of work calculate the voltage drop across the motor.

9.6 J of work ?  magnitude of work is very less. I assume the workdone by motor is 9.6 kJ
 
power = work/time = 9600/20 = 480 W
 
power = voltage × current = voltage×2 = 480  ;  hence voltage = 240 V
