NEET 2021 exam was conducted on 12th September. Around 16 lakh students took the entrance exam this year

NEET (UG) 2021 was conducted on 12th September 2021 in pen and paper mode in 13 languages for admissions to MBBS/BAMS/BDS/BUMS/BHMS/BSMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental/AYUSH and other colleges.

As per reports around 16 lakh, students took NEET this year. The paper was conducted following guidelines and procedures on COVID 19.

There are mixed reactions on the type of paper where many of the aspirants found it easy and average but some of the experts stated that the overall paper was moderate with lengthy questions in Physics and Chemistry which may have altered the time management strategies of aspirants.

Some experts from Kota stated that the paper was moderate and average.

Botany was moderate and based on NCERT, Zoology was average and most of the questions were based on NCERT, Chemistry was mostly conceptual and Physics was moderate, lengthy and based on NCERT. As per experts the paper had around 85 questions from the class 11 syllabus and 115 questions from the class 12 syllabus. Based on memory, more than 50% of the questions were considered easy, approximately 40% were moderate and around 10% were difficult in nature.

In Physics, over 65% of questions were asked from the chapters Electricity and Magnetism and Mechanics.

In Chemistry, there were 18 questions asked from Physical Chemistry, 15 Questions from Inorganic and around 17 questions from Organic Chemistry.

In Biology, a maximum number of questions were asked from the chapter, Molecular basis of inheritance. Further details will be available here.
