MHT-CET Result 2023: Maharashtra CET PCB and PCM Results Announced! Check Results and Admission Process Details here

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test results were announced on 12th June 2023. The exam was taken by aspiring students aiming to get admission into first-year agriculture, pharmacology and engineering courses. Students who sat for the exam can check their scorecards on the PCB group result and PCM group result links, depending on their subject combination.

The state-level examination was conducted from the 9th to 14th of May for the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) group candidates and the 15th to 20th of May for the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group. A total of 6.36 lakh students registered for the exam this year, out of which 3.03 lakh appeared for PCM and 2.77 lakh appeared for the PCB examination.

The examination cell has decided the pass percentage this year is 45% for general candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates. Examinees cannot apply for revaluation of the answer sheet.

The Maharashtra CET Cell has announced the registration process for CAP will begin on 15th June for qualified students who want admission to pharmacy and engineering colleges.

How to Check the MHT-CET 2023 Result?

Students can easily check their scorecards following the process below.

  • Visit the official MHT-CET website.
  • On the homepage, find the first section that states ‘To Download Score Card for CET- 2023’; below it, you will find the links that will redirect you to the scorecard page.
  • Click on one of the two links provided for MHT-CET 2023 (PCM Group) and MHT-CET 2023 (PCB Group).
  • Once the new window opens, enter your application number, date of birth and the security pin.
  • Click on ‘Download’.
  • The scorecard should now be visible on your screen. Go through the result thoroughly, download a pdf and take out a printout for future reference.

Details of the Counselling Process

The MHT-CET Cell has announced that the registration for the counselling process will start on 15th June 2023. Further details will be shared soon on the State CET Cell website. Students are advised to keep an eye on the page.

The counselling process will be conducted for various Engineering, Pharmacy and Agriculture courses. The authorities will conduct an online counselling process this year for qualified students based on their MHT-CET 2023 results.

For the first time ever, the counselling will also take place through the mobile application, where candidates will receive notifications about the different stages of admission, instructions for the counselling process, seat allotment, and other important information. Both students and parents can use the mobile app to keep an eye on the counselling procedure.

Process of Counselling

Students will have first to register for the admission process, following which these steps will take place:

  • Submission of documents for verification
  • Document verification and confirmation of the application form
  • Provisional merit list display on the website
  • Grievance submission (if any)
  • Final merit list display on the website

Following the registration completion, the CAP Round 1 starts and students register for the seat allotment. Once the seat allotment is done and students confirm admission into the institute of choice, CAP Round 2 takes place. The remaining seats are allotted in CAP round 3.

If vacant seats remain in individual institutions, they conduct their own walk-in admission drive. The admission process is wrapped up by July to August 2023. The academic session commences in September 2023 for all educational institutions.

Documents Required for Counselling

Once the students are selected for the document verification process, they will have to carry these original documents and a photocopy of each to the counselling venue.

  • School/college ID card
  • Aadhar card or any other valid ID proof
  • MHT-CET 2023 mark sheet
  • MHT-CET 2023 exam hall ticket
  • Class 10 pass certificate/mark sheet
  • Class 12 pass certificate/mark sheet
  • Nationality Certificate issued by the district magistrate/additional DM/metropolitan magistrate OR Valid Indian passport/school leaving certificate that indicates the nationality as ‘Indian’.
  • Domicile certificate issued by the DM/additional DM/metropolitan magistrate.
  • Medical fitness certificate
