Indian Heroes to Now be Part of NCERT Textbooks

A new curriculum has been announced which focuses on great personalities such as Maharana Pratap and Prithviraj Chauhan

The Union Human Resource Development Ministry has instructed the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) to emphasise more on the lives of eternal heroes who played an important role in building our nation.

Yes! A new curriculum has been announced which focuses on great personalities such as Maharana Pratap and Prithviraj Chauhan and the contributions of Indians to Science and Mathematics. While the change is supported by many schools, a few faculties are not happy with it as they feel that leaders like Akbar who contributed a great deal towards the development of Indian society have been excluded from the list.

The proposal for this new syllabus has been passed, and soon a committee will be formed which will look into the preparation of new books for the students.
