IIT JEE Main 2017 exam to be held on 02 April 2017
AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI mandatory for filling the application forms.
The JEE Apex Board will conduct the JEE (Main) 2017 exam on Sunday, April 2, 2017. The last date to register for it is 02 January 2017 and to pay the fees is 03 January 2017.
JEE Main is conducted by the CBSE for admission to the undergraduate engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions. Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland and Odisha are the newest to join the JEE (Main) system. It is mandatory for candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states to fill in the JEE (Main) -2017 application form online. Candidates do note that the form filling process is online only.
As the AADHAAR card details are mandatory while filling the application form, students who do not have AADHAAR card must apply for it at the earliest.. In the application form, candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth and gender. These details will be cross checked with the UIDAI’s data. If the information does not match, candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.
JEE (Main) is an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which candidates have to take to get admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs/ISM Dhanbad.
The complete notification about JEE (Main) will be released on December 1, 2016.
