CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest 2015

CBSE is organising a Cryptic Crossword Contest 2015 as a challenge for students from Class 9 to 12. The basic aim of the Cryptic Crossword Contest is to encourage and improve lateral thinking, analytical abilities and vocabulary reasoning among students.

 The contest will be conducted in two phases – City Round and National Round.

The City Round is an inter-school contest which will be held in 34 selected cities from May to September, while the National Round will be held in New Delhi in December. The format for the contest can be accessed through www.crypticsingh.com. The last day for registration of schools for the Shimla and Srinagar city rounds is 28 May, while for all other cities it is 25 June.

National Winners: Prizes worth Rs 25000 each, trophies and certificates

National Runners-up: Prizes worth Rs 15000 each, trophies and certificates

National Finalists (3^rd and 4^th): Prizes worth Rs 10,000 each, trophies and certificates

City Round Winners: Trophies and certificates
