So, why not do well in practical’s and watch your grades soar in the Class 10 CBSE board exam?

Preparation Tips for the Class 10 CBSE Board Practical Exam

Here are certain tips to help you score good marks in your practical exams:Understanding the ConceptStudents for the CBSE Class 10 practical examinations must work hard to understand the experiment's premise completely. Once you've mastered the theory's foundation, you'll be prepared to understand the principle and explain it clearly and easily. This also helps you with giving accurate and confident answers to the viva voce questions.

Confidence

Regardless of the topic you are given, just remain composed and confident while giving it your best effort. Make sure to keep records of every step that you follow so that you can answer questions that are asked by the examiner during the Viva. The majority of the time, the questions that the examiner asks are related to the topic of the experiment that you were assigned. So ensure that you've done some studying on that.

Practice

Students for the CBSE Class 10 board fall short of practising writing down their answers and instead concentrate on memorising and learning. Both the practical and theoretical examinations are timed. Practice writing down the entire process, observation, and making the diagram in the allotted time. Without practice, you may be unable to finish the assignment within the given time limit, resulting in a mark deduction.

Getting Proper Rest

Our thinking capabilities function best when we are properly rested. It is essential that you perform proficiently in the CBSE Class 10 practical exams, and worrying about it or not falling asleep early would not help you score higher. Not being properly rested and relaxed can cause you to make simple mistakes and lose points. As a result, students must get enough sleep, eat well, and keep up their confidence.

The viva is an important element of the exam that can fetch you high scores. Viva questions are an important element of the examination procedure since they allow teachers to assess students’ command and understanding of a topic. Tips for Good Viva ScoreThe following tips can help you score better marks in your viva sessions.

  2. Your viva will most definitely begin with the practicals or project work that you finished. Prepare the topics and subtopics of your project thoroughly. Also, ensure that you maintain your manual so that you can properly revise all that you learned in your practicals.
  3. Maintain eye contact with the examiner, pay attention closely to the questions, and respond strongly and calmly without hurrying. Try to maintain a positive attitude to reduce nervousness before and during the examination. Most importantly, you must remember it is okay to ask for clarifications and question the examiner.
  4. Make sure you have reviewed the most significant topics before sitting for the viva.
  5. It is a good idea to have group discussions with your friends before the viva examinations.

Viva Guidelines by CBSE Board

The following guidelines are given by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for conducting the practical and viva examinations for class 10th students.

  1. The school should prepare a plan according to the number of students enrolled in particular subjects. Inform the students timely to avoid any absentees on the day of the practical examination.
  2. All students should be notified that they have to appear for the practical exam according to the given timetable. If any student is absent, the practical exam can be rescheduled on the decided dates. No special requests would be accepted beyond the reschedule by the board.
  3. The school should contact the regional office to get the external examiner(s) and observer.
  4. The practical examination should be completed in time. The marks should be uploaded the same day, and the copies should be dispatched to the regional office the same day.
