why is a meter bridge used to measure only moderate values of resistance?

Expert Answer
The metre bridge is most sensitive when the resistances of all the four arms of the bridge are of the same order. It is so for moderate resistances only. The metre bridge becomes insensitive for too high or too low resistances. Moreover, while measuring low resistances, the resistances of the copper strips and the connecting wires become comparable to the unknown low resistance and hence cannot be neglected.
