when two charges are kept near to each other then why it is that the magnetic field lines of both charges do not intersect each other at any point?

Expert Answer:

Direction of magnetic field at a point is determined by tangent to the magnetic line of force. If 2 magnetic line of forces intersect, there would be 2 tangents at a single point; it would lead to a conclusion that magnetic field at that point has 2directions (1 for each tangent) which is not possible. Hence ,twp magnetic line of forces can never intersect.
