What kind of nucleus becomes radioactive in nature

The isotopes of nearly all the elements of atomic number higher than 82 ( i.e., after lead in periodic table )
are radioactive because in their nucleus, the number of neutrons is much more than the number of protons.
These are called the natural radioactive substances.
