What is threshold effect or threshold trait in genetics?
Asked by sanchitdora5 | 17 Apr, 2020, 12:46: PM
Quantitative traits that are discretely expressed in a limited number of phenotypes (usually two), but which are based on an assumed continuous distribution of factors that contribute to the trait are called threshold traits.
Threshold traits do not follow the basic Mendelian rules but are influenced by many genes and the environment.
