What is noble gas?

 The elements in Group 18 of the periodic table are also called Noble gases.

They comprise the elements helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon.

They are also called inert gases as they do not react. 
 
Helium has two electrons in its valence shell and other elements have eight electrons in their outermost shell.
So, their electronic arrangement is very stable and hence they are unreactive.
