what is alpha,beta and gamaa diversity?

- Alpha diversity is the diversity within a particular area or ecosystem which is usually expressed by the number of species in that ecosystem
- Beta diversity is the comparison of diversity between ecosystems which is usually measured as the number of species change between the ecosystems. It is the ratio between the ratio between local or alpha diversity and regional diversity.
- Gamma diversity is a measure of the overall diversity within a large region (alpha diversity + beta diversity)
