what is a diploid zygote?

Zygote is a diploid cell resulting from the fusion of two haploid gametes.
Diploid (2n) means containing two complete sets of chromosomes, one from each parent.
Haploid (n) on the other hand means having a single set of unpaired chromosomes, as in the gametes.
