Properties of metals :

1. Metals are usually solids at room temperature, possess metallic lustre , high density and are good conductors of heat and electricity.

2.They usually form alloys.

3. Their oxides are usually basic in nature.

4. They react with acids to form hydrogen.

5. When electrolysed from their salts, they deposit at the cathode and are, therefore electro-positive.

Plssss answer..... Assertion: Magnetic field lines never intersect each other. Reason: If they intersect, then at the point of intersection, the compass needle would point towards two directions, which is not possible.
