All human beings are related genetically. We all belong to the same gene pool. We may find similarities in ancestral DNA. There will be at least two people who share a common feature such as a big nose, curly hair, etc. This means that people will share certain mutations, markers, or sequences when it comes to DNA. Tracing the evolutionary history, we will still find these similar sequences of DNA. And with a growing population, it becomes possible to find more than one of these features appearing in certain people.
This implies that it is possible that the facial features of two unrelated people would be similar, although they do not share a common ancestry. Likewise, although there is a similarity in the DNA sequence and share a common ancestry, two people might look different.
