Let 10th place digit x and unit place digit is (8-x). Hence the number is 10x+(8-x) = 9x+8

if digits are interchanged , then the changed number  is 10(8-x)+x = 80-9x

the given information is,  80-9x = (9x+8)+18  or 18x = 54   or x = 3.

hence the number = 9x+8   = 35
