Expert Answer
According to the condition,

5000, 5200, 5400 .... , 7000 forms an A.P since the difference between the consecutive terms is 200.

Here, a = 5000 , d = 200 and an = 7000

an = a + (n - 1)d
→ 7000 = 5000 + (n - 1)200
→ 2000 = 200(n - 1)
→ n - 1 = 10
→ n = 11

In 2005 his income will reach Rs. 7000.
