Given arithmetic progression is 11 , 8 , 5 , 2 ......................
First term a = 11 and common difference d = -3
if -105 is rth term , then we have
![begin mathsize 14px style t subscript r space equals space a space plus space left parenthesis r minus 1 right parenthesis space d end style](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/c8a7c7775eb6ff9167afe9cc65adf741.png)
![begin mathsize 14px style negative 105 space equals space 11 space plus space left parenthesis r minus 1 right parenthesis space left parenthesis negative 3 right parenthesis end style](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/15f528f85d0959ac49d0f1c3d7df95f5.png)
we do not get r as integer by solving above expression .
Hence -105 is not a ter in the given arithmetic progression series
