As we know,

Moment of force also known as torque can be express as shown below.

τ=F×r

We can deduce from the above equation that increasing the magnitude of the applied force (F) or the perpendicular distance (r) between the line of force and the pivoted point increases the moment of force.

As we know,

Moment of force also known as torque can be express as shown below.

 

From the above equation we can conclude that,  the moment of force can be increased by increasing either the magnitude of the applied force (F) or the perpendicular distance (r) between the line of force and the pivoted point.
