First lens is of focal length f1 = 20 cm
When the parallel beam of light is refracted through first lens, the rays of light converges at the focus of first lens.
If the rays of light has to come out of the second lens undeviated or parallel to the principal axis, then the rays of light coming out of first lens must also converge at focus of seond lens whose focal length is f2 = 10 cm.
Thus, the distance beween the two lenses must be,
f1 + f2 = 20 cm + 10 cm = 30 cm
