The two pieces of mirror are seperated by distance of 1 cm each from its previous principal axis.
The focal length of both pieces will remain same i.e. f = -20 cm
The object is placed at distance of 10 cm fom mirror. Hence, u =-10 cm
Thus the distance at which the image is formed is,
By mirror formula,
From the given figure its is clear that the object is placed within the focus of mirror. Thus image will be formed 20 cm behind the mirror.
The distnace between the two images formed will be,
m = -v/u = - (20/-10) = 2 cm
Thus, the distance between the two images formed will be 2 cm.
