Distance between foci = 2 a e  ..................(1)
 
where 2a is length of major axis and e is eccentricity
 
if S1 and S2 are foci and P is any point on ellipse, then S1P + S2P = 2 a   .............................(2)
 
Hence perimeter,   ( 2 a ) + ( 2 a e ) = 10 + 10 e = 15   or  e = 0.5
