First we have to remove – 2 from LHS of the inequality by adding 2 to both sides of the inequality.

           

Next to remove 3 multiply both sides by 1 thirdthat is

 fraction numerator 1 over denominator up diagonal strike 3 end fraction open parentheses up diagonal strike 3 straight x close parentheses less than fraction numerator up diagonal strike 12 over denominator up diagonal strike 3 end fraction to the power of 4
straight x space less than space 4
So comma space the space solution space set space is space open parentheses negative infinity comma 4 close parentheses.
