Option c is false statement in this question since motion is in x-y plane and it's in anti clockwise sense so the direction of 
Angular momentum will always be along negative z axis by cross product rule for path AB.
In path AB perpendicular distance is R/√2 and  for path BC the perpendicular distance is R/√2+a for path BC its should be R/√2+a but it's not given.
