Show how would you connect 3 resistors each of resistance 6 ohm so that the combination has a resistance of (1)9ohm (2)2ohm

two 6Ω resistors connected in parallel gives equivalent resitance 3Ω.
This parallel combination connected to another 6Ω resistor in series gives 9Ω as shown in fig.(1).
 
Three 6Ω resistors connected parallel gives equivalent resistance 2Ω as shown in fig.(2)
