A fire extinguisher is an active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations.Soda-acid fire extinguisher involves the reaction between sodium bicarbonate and sulphuric acid which evovles carbon dioxide which cut offs the supply of oxygen and eventually helps to extinguish fire.
NaHCO3 + H+ → CO2 + H2O + Sodium salt of acid
