I think you meant 10 grams of  CaCO3
 

CaCO3 ---> CaO +CO2

 

1 mole of CaCO3 (100 grams) gives 1 mole of CO2 (12 + 16 X 2 = 44 grams)

so 10 grams of CaCO3 will give 0.1 moles i.e 4.4 grams of CO2
