plz help..... 1)two customers are visiting a particular hop in the same week (mon to sat).Each is equally likely to visit the shop on any one day as on another,what is the probability that both will visit the shop on alternate days?

Dear student,
 

There are total 6 days. One person can go to the shop in 6 ways and the other can go to the shop in 6 ways

So, total number of outcomes = 6 × 6 = 36

If one person goes first in the shop and the other goes on a day after that, then they can reach on alternate days in 5 ways, i.e. (m, w), (T, TH), (TH, S), (S, M, (W,F)   

Now, the persons can swap.

So, the total number of ways in which the two persons can visit the shop on alternate days is 10.
