Resistance of metallic wire, R = 26 ohms,
Length of wire, l = 1 m
Area of cross section = 2 cm2 = 0.0002 m2
Resistivity, ρ =?
Resistivity is given as,
![rho space equals space fraction numerator R A over denominator l end fraction](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/2892822e8f1e89a5ea2e6eca8eba3b59.png)
ρ = (26× 0.0002)/ 1 = 0.0052 = 5.2 × 10-3 Ωm
Thus resistivity of the metal is 5.2 ×10-3 Ωm
