Above statement is not true because direction of magnetic lines of forces closes to a straigh conductor
carrying current will be perpendicular to the direction of conductor .

Magnetic field induction B inside a solenoid is ( μ n I ) , where μ is permeability of medium inside solenoid ,
n is number of turns per unit length and I is current passing through solenoid .
Hence Magnetic field induction B inside a solenoid is directly proportional to magnitude of current
