Question: In an ncc camp with 200 cadets, there is just enough food supplies to last 10 days. If 50 more cadets join the camp, how many days will the same food last?
Solution:
Let the food lasts for m days when there are 250 cadets.
As per the question, the quantity of food remains the same. So, we have
200 x 10 = 250 x m
2000 = 250m
m = 8
Hence, the food lasts for 8 days if 50 more cadets join the camp.

ICSE Class 8 Maths Linear Equations The answer maybe rechecked. Ans: Let B's age= x Then A's age= x+5 5years ago: B's age was= (x-5)yrs A's age was= (x+5-5)yrs = x yrs As per question: A's age/B' age= 3/2 x/x-5=3/2 2x=3x-15 3x-2x=15 B's Present age = x=15 yrs(Ans) A's present age= x+5= 15+5= 20 yrs(Ans) But, The answer given in the uploaded video are 5 yrs and 10 yrs Please recheck this.
