i. It is the pituitary gland which is a pea-sized structure located at the base of the brain, just below the hypothalamus, to which it is attached via nerve fibers.

ii. 1- Hypothalamus, 2 – Anterior lobe, 3- Posterior lobe

iii. Some hormones secreted by pituitary gland:

Adrenocorticotropic hormone

Growth hormone

Luteinizing hormone

Prolactin

Anti-diuretic hormone 

Oxytocin

iv. If pituitary gland is removed from the body, the functioning of other glands will also be affected.

v. Growth hormone
