ICSE Class 10 Answered
Hormone responsible for regulating thyroid in the body
Asked by Shankarsarees | 19 Feb, 2019, 10:25: PM
There are two main thyroid hormones –
- T3 (triiodothyronine)
- T4 (thyroxine)
T3 and T4 regulate body temperature, metabolism, and heart rate. The amount of thyroid hormones secreted is controlled by another hormone called the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), which is released by the pituitary gland in the brain.
