  • Plants which are pollinated by different animals such as insects, bats, birds, snails and snakes have certain adaptive features which enable easy pollination.
  • These adaptations vary depending on the agent for pollination. For example,
  • Plants which are pollinated by insects have showy or brightly coloured flowers producing either a foul or a pleasant smell to attract insects for pollination.
  • Similarly, flowers pollinated by birds secrete excessive watery nectar or have edible parts which attract birds for pollination.
