momentum

Expert Answer:

Momentum = massxvelocity

1/ Momentum Initially = 0.5x20 = 10 kgm/s

2/Momentum at the highest point = 0.5x0 = 0, since velocity at the highest point is zero.

3/Retarding force = mg = 0.5x9.8 = 4.9 N, since retardation is from gravitational force.
