answered-by-expert Expert Answer

if an object oscillates with small amplitude in parabolic potential field , then this oscilatory motion is simple harmonic.

initially the particle is released from rest . Hece at time t = 0 , velocity is zero.

Hence velocity function is sine function and displacement function is cosine function.

Hence graph(A) which is a cosine function represents the displacement as a function of time .
