Is there any current in coductor pleaced in uniform electric field during electrostatic equillibrium

Hi dear,
There is no flow of current when the conductor is in electrostatic equilibrium. At equilibrium the charge and electric field follow:
1. The electric field is zero within the solid part of the conductor.
2. The electric field at the surface of conductor is perpendicular to the surface.
3. any excess charge lies only on the conductor.
4. charge accumulates and the field is trongest at the pointy ends of the conductor.
Hope this helped.
