Insulin is a peptide hormone that regulates blood sugar levels. It is produced by the pancreas and helps the liver store excess glucose, and the cells absorb glucose to produce energy.

Trypsin is a pancreatic protease enzyme that breaks down proteins in the small intestine. Trypsin is secreted by the pancreas into the duodenum, where the final digestion of proteins takes place. Trypsin converts large protein molecules into smaller, simpler molecules.

Trypsin is also used in the production of insulin. Trypsin digests the mini-C-peptide and converts the insulin precursor into insulin ester.
