hi

Let maximum marks is x.

A student secured 26% and failed by 28 marks.

Pass percentage is 33% = 33 % of  x. = 0.33x

Therefore,

0.26x + 28 = 0.33x

0.07x = 28

x = 400 marks.

So the maximum marks are 400.
