if we stand facing in east direction so the magetic compass will point on east so i can we north or south in that situation

Expert Answer
A magnetic compass always points towards the North—South direction.
But we can determine the East - West direction.
If the North—South direction is known, then the East—West direction can also be determined.
If the North—South direction is known, then the East—West direction can also be determined.
It is perpendicular to the North-South direction, i.e., perpendicular to the compass needle in the same plane.
