I didn't understood that how can electric field has a direction as it is the area surrounding a charge? please explain in simple words.

Electric field is not the area surrounding a charge.
it basically represents the direction of force on a charge due to the field by another charge.
It has no relation with the area just the charge due to which it is there and the distance from the charge.
