Expert Answer:

1 molar NaOH contains 40 grams of NaOH per every liter of water
so 2 M NaOH contains twice that amount, i.e. 80 grams per liter.
So, in 1000 ltrs there is 80 g NaOH present
Then, in 100 ml of water, there should be 80 x 100/1000 = 8 grams of solid NaOH dissolved.
