How far block A shown in Fig. will move when its velocity increases from 3 m/s to 8m/s? Assume pulleys are weightless and frictionless. Radius of larger pulley is 0.3 m and that of smaller pulley is 0.2 m.

Moment of inertia of pulley is required either explicitly or implicitly by giving information about mass and geometry.
 
Blocks A and B are moving with different acceleratiin . These acceleration of blocks has to be related to angular acceleration of pulley .
 
For that moment of inertia of pulley is required.
