Thinking involves many areas of the brain. The cerebrum is the thinking part of the brain.Thinking occurs in an orderly manner and requires intent, direction and a process of development. When we think, there occurs communication between the brain cells. Every time we think or learn, a neuron in the brain sends a nerve impulse down its axon. The axon of one brain cell makes multiple thousands of connections with many thousand other brain cells through synapse. Chemical messengers called neurotransmitters are also involved in this process. Neurons fire like a line of falling dominoes. This activity is the process that creates the intricate pathway of thought, also called memory traces or neural pathways.
